We are not looking for a slave or indentured servant. We are looking
for someone who wants to learn training, re-training, rehabbing, instruction,
care, feeding and development of horses and riders with basis in biomechanics,
as well as be included on the growth of a developing dressage training barn.
NOTE: If you are not interested in bringing a horse or lessons this also available as a paid groom position.
You will live on premises and be immersed in the business. Additional
bonuses include stable board for 1 horse, lessons weekly on your horse and/or
ours in dressage and flat/jumping with a qualified instructor, and daily
involvement in the business of running a training stable and keeping clients
happy.
We are looking to give someone a front row seat into riding, training
and care, while honing their riding skills and learning about how to grow a
business. There will not be a business economics class but you will learn how
it happens in the real world.
Responsibilities include: **We have part-time students who help also**
Mucking 10-22 stalls five days including weekends (shavings)
Emptying/scrubbing/refilling water buckets
Sweep/rake aisles (keep it clean!!)
Feeding daily
Riding Riding Riding
Cleaning tack
Schooling and hacking out
Grooming
Basic barn work
Did we mention RIDING?
Requirements are:
Own reliable transportation
A sense of humor
Cell Phone
Comfortable working/riding
Non-Smoking
No Dogs
You have to deal with clients of all shapes/sizes/personalities!
Courteous/Polite/Non Whinier
Appropriate riding attire for job
Money for yourself and your horses other personal needs
What you get:

bathroom/kitchen/living room (sorry no wifi or cable but honestly
you'll be too busy riding horses!)
