We are not looking for a slave or indentured servant. We are looking for someone who wants to learn training, re-training, rehabbing, instruction, care, feeding and development of horses and riders with basis in biomechanics, as well as be included on the growth of a developing dressage training barn.
NOTE: If you are not interested in bringing a horse or lessons this also available as a paid groom position.
You will live on premises and be immersed in the business. Additional bonuses include stable board for 1 horse, lessons weekly on your horse and/or ours in dressage and flat/jumping with a qualified instructor, and daily involvement in the business of running a training stable and keeping clients happy.
We are looking to give someone a front row seat into riding, training and care, while honing their riding skills and learning about how to grow a business. There will not be a business economics class but you will learn how it happens in the real world.
Responsibilities include: **We have part-time students who help also**
Mucking 10-22 stalls five days including weekends (shavings)
Emptying/scrubbing/refilling water buckets
Sweep/rake aisles (keep it clean!!)
Riding Riding Riding
Schooling and hacking out
Basic barn work
Did we mention RIDING?
Own reliable transportation

You have to deal with clients of all shapes/sizes/personalities!
